Mon Ami:

Hospice of Acadiana utilizes members of our volunteer program to provide compassion, assistance and support to individuals who are suffering from life-limiting illness and are not receiving hospice care.  Their services under the Mon Ami program are managed by the Volunteer Coordinator along with the help of a Clinical Liaison.

Services provided by volunteers may include:

• Spending time with the patient by reading, playing cards and listening.

• Running errands.

• Picking up a few groceries.

• Helping care for the family pet.

• Being a special friend when you need one.

• Praying and offering support for the patient and family members.
