Hospice of Acadiana, Inc. prides itself on providing volunteers to help serve our patient base.  With over 350 active volunteers at our disposal, Hospice of Acadiana's volunteers are committed to patient, pastoral, and bereavement care.

Hospice Volunteers are a group of dedicated individuals from throughout the nine-parish service area (Acadia, Iberia, Evangeline, Jefferson Davis, Lafayette, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Mary, and Vermilion) who share the desire to give the gift of presence to enrich the lives of patients and their families.  These individuals share with Hospice of Acadiana a belief in the right of each person to spend one's final days in peace and comfort and to die with dignty at home.

The mission of the Volunteer Services program is to support and enhance the efforts of staff memebers in meeting the needs of patients and their families.  Our volunteers are truly a special part of our hospice team and are invaluable to our organization and patients.

"Our family found comfort immediately, knowing Hospice of Acadiana would be there for him and for us.  The staff and volunteers treated my dad with such tenderness and compassion."
